At this interactive appointment, small microphones will be placed in your ear canal and will measure the response of your device. You will be asked to bring along a family member or friend to your live speech mapping appointment. In addition to offering emotional support, a familiar presence can help your hearing care professional gauge your ability to hear and process speech and other sounds.
